HB 2585  RELATING TO THE UNIFORM ELECTRONIC TRANSACTIONS ACT   CPN/EDU
HD1     Gives electronic records and signatures the same legal status
        as paper records and handwritten signatures. (HB2585 HD1)  (SAY

HB 2005  RELATING TO REVERSE MORTGAGES                            CPN
HD1     Amends definition of "reverse mortgage loan" to mean a
        nonrecourse loan, the committed principal amount of which is
        secured by a mortgage on the borrower's residential property
        and includes cash advances to the borrower based upon the
        equity in or value of the borrower's owner-occupied principal
        residence, requires no payment of principal or interest until
        the entire loan becomes due and payable, and may only be made
        by a state or federally chartered or licensed lender.  (HB2005

HB 2846  RELATING TO CONDOMINIUM PROPERTY REGIMES            GOH, CPN
HD1     Requires the association of apartment owners to represent all
        lessees in lease rent negotiations, that lessees are to bear
        the cost of renegotiations, and that costs may be collected in
        the same manner as common expenses.  (HB2846 HD1)  (CACHOLA)

HB 2525  RELATING TO PRESCRIPTION DRUGS                      HHS, CPN
HD2     Liberalizes regulatory controls and restrictions on the
        distribution of medical oxygen and the dispensing of
        prescription drug (non-controlled substances drugs).  (HB2525

HB 1387  RELATING TO NURSES                                   HHS,CPN
HD2     Requires 1 registered nurse member of the Board of Nursing to
        be an APRN.  Replaces 1 of 2 licensed practical nurse Board
        members, upon first vacancy after effective date, with a
        registered nurse Board member. (HB1387 HD1)  (OKAMURA)

HB 2479  RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE EXPRESS WARRANTY ENFORCEMENT   CPN
HD1     (LEMON LAW)
        Includes the finance and interest charges paid by a consumer in
        the consumer's "Lemon Law" refund.  (HB2479 HD1)  (SAY (BR))

HB 1977  RELATING TO GASOLINE DEALERS                             CPN
HD2     Provides that a manufacturer of jobber may operate a retail
        service station provided that there be an effective agreement
        between the contract dealer and the manufacturer or jobber.
        Defines contract dealer as dealer that surrenders its unexpired
        franchise and does not sell more than 75,000 gallons of
        gasoline per month.  Requires a manufacturer or jobber to
        report to the petroleum advisory council for public inspection
        all changes in ownership or type of operation involving a
        branded service station and contract dealer gasoline sales.

for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing,
please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time
of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.

participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language interpreter,
wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled), please
contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can
be made.
